觯为酒器，乃饮酒之杯。《说文·角部》：“觯，乡饮酒角也。《礼》曰，一人洗举觯，觯受四升。”《礼记·礼器》：“尊者举觯。”郑玄注：“三升曰觯。”觯又称鍴，春秋晚期义楚鍴铭：“义楚之祭端。”此为鍴之用于祭祀者。 此器系仿照三代礼器觯制作而成，扁体，撇口，粗束颈，颈部带状开光内在精细的回纹地上浮雕双凤相对飞舞，开光上下饰变形仰莲纹及倒垂蕉叶纹。颈部两侧对铸天鸡耳，鬃毛卷曲，俯首向下，丹凤双目，眉眼细长，造型别致，饶有气势，着实刻画得精妙传神。腹部扁鼓丰腴，腹下渐收，底承外撇圈足，足墙以回纹装饰 此尊除粗浑稳健的造型、精细工谨的纹饰之外，其皮色亦极具特点，引人瞩目，包浆厚重，渗有油润感，棠梨红皮，宝光内蕴，通体如迷漫夕色，墨染悠悠，润泽醉人，渺渺神韵，其色当为经年养护、盘完所成。陈设于案头，更显尊贵古雅。
