A LARGE PHARMACIST'S JAR, early 20th century, likely Scottish, a painted glass jar, possibly by Lynch & Co., used for storing Magnesia (Magnesium), decorated with the Scottish national crest with two flanking unicorns, with inscription 'Nemo Me Impune Lacessit', 53cm high Nemo Me Impune Lacessit, meaning No-one attacks me with impunity, was the motto of the Scottish Stuart dynasty and was last, formally, used by James IV, however, it has since then reappeared on modern Scottish coats of arms.
