中原 绢本彩绘 “乾隆元年暑月吉旦造”单行楷书款 本幅韦陀画像身形魁梧，巍然站立，右手拄剑于身前，正义凛然。粉面无须，面廓方圆，眉眼高扬，不怒自威。头戴红缨盔，身披甲胄，肩披长帛，翻卷下垂，轻盈灵动，通身衣纹多变，坚硬贴身的甲片与随风飘扬的衣袍，以不同手法描绘得自然逼真。身后饰有祥云及火焰形头光。整幅画像人物姿态生动有力，色彩饱满而不失庄严厚重，构图饱满，堪称精品。韦陀天王是佛教中护法金刚力士的代表之一。韦陀的造像常被安置于佛寺中央天王殿后，手执金刚宝杵，守护大雄宝殿内主神释迦牟尼佛，也经常侍立于观音身旁，充当观音菩萨的护卫。
