Rare 18th Century Qianlong Imperial Chinese High Concubine official semi-formal court coat known as a "Longqua" dragon jacket and worn over a yellow dragon-patterned "Jifu"; the Dragon roundels surmounted within the design with long life peaches, this Robe in midnight blue silk with satin stitch embroidery and heavily embroidered with laid gold wrapped thread scaly Dragons, the Waves and floating Auspicious Objects with gold highlights above deep water all in especially fine stitches; lined in light blue silk, the front opening with 2 gilt bronze buttons. Height 55 1/2 inches (141 cm.) X width 56 inches (142 cm.). NOTE: A similar but later coat in Kesi Silk was sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 1 December 2015, Lot 3127.
