Dimensions: 12-1/2" H x 9-1/2" Dia. Stand: 2"H Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong blue & red dragon zun vase on stand. The Porcelain potted in a Zun shaped vase, thick and large, globular body, slighty oval body, rounded shoulder concealing gracefully to a prominent straight cylindrical neck, with wide straight open lip, two ring handles emerging and flanked on the neck to shoulder, raised with short splayed foot base rim and slightly concave. The exterior characterize decorated with delicate carving under variegate tones and shades of cobalt blue and copper-red glazed depicted of five claws imperial dragon soaring amidst flames and vapors, with face and upper right appendage outstretched toward the heavens. Vigorous dragons chasing flaming pearl amidst flames against cobalt blue color scrolling cumulus clouds. The backdrop depicts swirling wind and fire painted atop a beautiful white under glaze, enclosed with thrashing waves lishui and scrolling tendril. Elegantly and smooth presented upon a carved zitan hardwood stand with archaic ruyi pattern. The Lines of the drawings are clear, the light and dark shades are subtle. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye. Mark on under base, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
