Dimensions: 5.875"L x 2.5"H Rare, Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Jurentang mark red bamboo motif porcelain bowls on stand. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, slight deep, thick and bulbous body, with angled cavetto elevated the steep sides upward the flaring mouth rim, raised on a small round, with slight concave footing. All reserved in hand painting ornamentations, rendered in clean white under glazed ground color which contrast against the red fine color. Red is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Qing Dynasty. Its color does not easily fade and durability is longer. It used cabaltous oxide as the colorant.
