In her arms she is holding four objects, among them a trident (trishul) and a skull cup (kapala). Her oval face is framed by wildly flying hair and she has large circular earrings.Although often called the "Goddess of Death" or "Black Goddess" in Hinduism and depicted in a quite more frightening manner with skull garlands and lolling tongue, this representation of the goddess is closer to her other name, Mother Goddess.
