杯截取竹之根部，随形雕琢，整体呈钵式，口微撇，外底内凹，器表色泽橙红亮泽，以梅枝浮雕为柄，梅花数朵，三五成枝，独自开放。梅花是国人素来喜爱之花，松、竹、梅向有“岁寒三友”之称，该器吟咏主题即为梅花，秉性高洁，凌寒盛开，历代诗人均有名篇存世。本品为竹雕啄而成，结实耐用，节理紧凑，美观大方，深得文人墨客喜爱。来源：原伦敦私人藏家旧藏
