镜台一种梳妆工具，宋代时就开始流行，南宋绘画《靓妆仕女图》中就描绘有一具折叠式的镜架，镜台比镜架更为复杂，另一幅宋画《半闲秋兴图》中则描绘了一件扶手椅式镜台。这件黄花梨五屏风龙纹镜台比起常见的款式更崇饰增华，台座两开门，中设抽屉大小四具。座上安五屏风，式样和座屏风相似。屏风的脚和座面榫卯连接，植插稳固。五屏风中间最高，左右递减，并且依次向前兜转，有围合之势。中扇上端透雕双龙戏珠，左右上端各透雕龙纹，绦环板从上而下透雕有“麒麟送子”、“文王访贤”等图案，台座上有围栏，立柱上端各有一只圆雕的狮子，两扇门心板子浮雕云纹和行龙。台座上有镜子支架，下端和台座相接，上端搭在中扇，如蛟龙出海，气势如虹。
