玉质细腻纯洁，致密莹润，为上等白玉材料。立体圆雕麒麟伏卧作回首状，口衔灵芝祥云，背负简册书籍，体魄饱满健壮，四蹄紧扣蜷缩，整个形态富有张力和气势。以阴线刻身躯鳞片，排布有序有节，却不显刻板呆滞，从中可窥出玉工功力的老道与精湛。 麒麟是中国传统文化中的瑞兽，古人认为麒麟出没处必有祥瑞，也以此用来比喻才能杰出的人。相传孔子诞生之前，有麒麟吐玉书于其家院。孔子出生后，人们便称他为“麒麟儿”。后“麒麟儿”成为对聪慧孩子的赞美词，并有“天上麒麟儿，地上状元郎”对联流传于世。 来源：香港中艺公司旧藏 注：20.7g
