Harold "Harry" Sutton Palmer (Plymouth England 1854 - 1933); 3 Fine Watercolors, "Fly Fishing with Creel", "Town from Surrounding Hills", and "Distant Stream" each signed in pencil or watercolor lower left recto; each double matted and framed in rustic wood. Approximate visible heights of art 9 1/2 inches (24 cm.) X approximate visible widths of art 14 inches (35.5 cm.). NOTE: Sutton Palmer specialized in idyllic rustic landscapes in watercolors. He lived in London but painted widely in England (Surrey, Berkshire, Devon, The Lake District, Yorkshire) and Scotland. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1870, the Fine Art Society, Leicester Galleries and Dowdeswell Galleries as well as in New York City. He was a member of the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA) from 1892 and Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours (RI) from 1920.His works can be found in the Victoria and Albert Museum, Leek Art Gallery and Wardown Park Museum, Luton, and numerous private collections.
