A stoneware vase by Fernand Rumèbe Crackled salt glaze decor in black and brown. Black painted monogram FA and 27. Minor losses to the glaze. H 25.7 cm. Fernand Rumèbe (1875 - 1952), c. 1920. Fernand Rumèbe (1875 - 1952) took over the workshop of Emile Decoeur in 1907. He traveled through Turkey and Indochina and brought back many inspirations for his ceramic work. In his later life he concentrated on his architectural projects. Provenance Villa Clara Schumann, Frankfurt.
