款识：嘉庆二十有五年岁次庚辰|朱砂墨，八面形，上部横刻“八卦图”，中部竖镌填金题“青浦吴家鏊监制”，另侧填金“嘉庆二十有五年岁次庚辰”。这方制于嘉庆二十五年的朱砂墨，逾数百年，色泽沉郁朱赤，无龟裂、无断纹，殊为难得。|朱砂墨以朱砂制成而名。古代以朱墨做公文代称。有清一代，御制朱墨为皇帝奏章御批用墨。
