鐵牛體形碩大，重量非常，身體比例勻稱，呈臥姿，姿態溫馴。雙耳貼于牛首，雙眼圓睜，眼球中間挫金，炯炯有神。頸背部、四足的肌肉線條分明，雖呈靜態，然可看出牛身清晰有力的刻畫。鐵牛用料劄實，外表通體採用挫金銀技法裝飾，展現戰國時期冶煉鑄造工藝的極高水準。 鐵牛形神兼備，華麗的裝飾展現其令人讚歎的藝術境界。如此精美的鐵牛，證明瞭牛和牛耕在當時生產中的重要地位。1.東周晚期銅挫金銀臥牛，H:5.7cm，現藏日本美秀博物館。 2.
