A JAPANESE SHIBAYAMA LACQUER AND SILVER VASE MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY Modelled as the God of Good Fortune Hotei's treasure sack and raised on three silver feet shaped as small rats, the sides with two shaped panels enclosing birds and flowers in between silver and enamel medallion appliqués with floral designs, the surface decorated in gold lacquer hiramaki-e and nashiji, the base signed in a shaped lacquer reserve, 17.2cm.
