A Chinese huanghuali toilet box, late Qing dynasty, of rectangular form with the front tier carved with scrolling lotus, the interior fitted with a mirror, the front opening to reveal eight drawers, mounted with brass fittings, 35cm wide 26cm deep 21cm high 清晚期 黄花梨官皮箱 Condition report: Some brass mountings loose and dented, some missing. Splits to corners, edges and sides. Fittings loose. Surface scratches. The right opening panel restored. The right top sliding drawer missing base. Backboard of mirror glued. Corners misshaped with signs of glue and restoration.
