A pair of antique, Chinese paintings on paper, by Chang Nan Hua. Qinglong period, 18th cent. One depicting a small boat, propelled by a lone man, winding up the river. The other, a sage crossing a bridge to a hamlet by the mountains. Number 2 has a poem and the artists' seal, and a collectors' seal. Number one has the artists' seal. Old, printed labels from the 1950s or 60s, at the back. The paintings were bought at :C.T.Loo&Co. 41 east 57th street, New York. Size each: net 27x22.6 cm, with frame 49.5x40.5 cm
