|说明：灰白玉，大致呈山形，炉体以多层次立体通景镂雕而成，中空，椭圆形环装平底。炉体以透雕、线刻等玉雕手法表现了一幅莲塘群鹭图，莲塘中莲叶遮天蔽日，莲花摇曳多姿，成片的莲叶下六只白鹭或隐或现，早悠闲地纳凉觅食，身形优雅闲适。在我国传统吉祥纹饰中，“陆”、“路”相谐，“鹭”通“路”音，“莲”谐“莲”音，莲花莲叶生长密集，共同构成了此炉顶“路路连科”的美妙画卷，以寓科考逢场得益，仕途坦荡，因此也常作为赶考学子的祝颂贺词。||此件炉顶器形硕大，所表现内容虽繁多复杂，但布局疏密得宜，莲花莲叶及白鹭造型生动，且雕琢通透玲珑，疏朗圆浑，雕琢技艺不凡，当是明代玉炉顶中之寡见者。
