Chinese Art. A large fahua jar over blue ground China, Qing dynasty, 19th century or earlier. Decorated with animal motif and marshy vegetation in lively polychromy on a dark blue ground. The vase presents the interior with bright green glaze. It is attributable to the so-called Northern fahua production, low fire stoneware covered with a layer of slip.
