An Fine Celadon Double Gourd Ewer of Goryeo Style (918-1391)- well pottered covered, of double gourd shape, the well rounded lower body with a long elegant spout and loped handle with a small loop at the highest point originally for a silk rope attaching the cover, the upper body with a narrow waisted neck and opening and a matching cover with loop on top, adorned beneath the finely crackled sea green glaze with beautiful depictions of chrysanthemum blossoms within double rings circles and elegant cranes between clouds, the tapered waist decorated with vertical lines in relief, the base with signature beneath the glaze, foot ring unglazed, minor restorations to the spout in gold lacquer, tiny glaze damage to the lower part of the body (left side of the handle), height 32,5cm
