Georges-René Le Pelley de Pléville, known as "the Corsair with a wooden leg", nicknamed after the Revolution Pléville Le Pelley (1726-1805), is a French naval officer, aristocrat and politician, governor from the port of Marseille, vice-admiral, minister of the Marine and the Colonies from August 18, 1797 to April 28, 1798, he was also one of the first great officers of the National Order of the Legion of Honor.
