A Chinese famille verte recticulated hexagonal porcelain “bride” lantern, Kangxi style, Guangxu (1875 1908) period. China, late 19th century. 38,4 cm high.
Each bowed side has a medallion with flowers and insects in the center of a pierced (hexagonal or sun symbol) panel within a border of blossom and twigs. The whole is surmounted by a flared crown. Raised on a foot with three bands all decorated with red flowers, middle with blue ground and cut holes in shape of flowers.
Conditions report: Restoration to the crown. Minor marks and scratches due to age and use. Besides that virtually perfect condition.
Dimensions: height - 38,4 cm x 22 cm x 22,5 cm.
