An elaborate gilt metal trinket box, the hinged opening cover inset with a circular head and shoulder painted portrait miniature depicting a lady, 5.25 (13 cm) wide, together with another similar smaller example, 4.5 (11.5cm) wide. These could be painted upon thin sheets of Ivory, however they are sealed within the boxes so this cannot be confirmed. Linings to both boxes very clean - possibly replaced.
