Four Victorian carved mother-of-pearl and silver folding fruit knives, each with shaped and engraved handles and in a leather case, the first, inscribed 'E.E.Todd', by Aaron Hadfield, Sheffield 1844, the second, inscribed 'Maggie Galloway', by Martin, Hall & Co., Sheffield 1865, the third, the blade inscribed 'Forget me not', the handles with diamond engraving and monogram, by Thomas Marples, Sheffield 1868, the fourth, by Thomas Marples (probably), Birmingham 1872, open 15-16cm long (4) Thomas Marples was based in Sheffield, but seemed to have used both assay offices. Condition report: The third has blade that doesn't quite close the fourth has weak spring
