BEAUTIFUL RELIQUARY ZUSHI in wood with a beautiful patina, the doors decorated in takamaki-e of gold lacquer of two Tennin, celestial beings, flying among clouds. The interior, very finely carved and lacquered polychrome and gold, represents in the center the deity Shô-Kannon sitting in lalitasana on the lion, holding a lotus flower, a mountain rising behind her; on the sides, at the back of the doors, appear, on the right, Jizô Bosatsu standing on a high rock at the feet of which is represented Shotoku Taishi, and on the left, the sennin Tekkai on a rock overhanging a guardian king.
