This plate is quite large in size and thick in carcass. The inner wall is painted with Ruyi cloud pattern for one week, and the painting is full of pastel painting of hundred butterflies. The five colors and postures are different. It dances in the plate with gorgeous colors. Three groups of flower patterns of passionflower are painted on the outer wall. At the end, there are two lines of red color regular script with six characters of "Guangxu system of the Qing Dynasty". Butterfly, because of its homonym "old man", is often used as auspicious design. Especially in the late Qing Dynasty, the image of butterfly is everywhere in porcelain, becoming a popular decoration in official kilns.
