A rare Chinese blue and white kraak porcelain plate with 'egret' mark, Wanli Dia.: 22 cm The egret (or stork) is the only mark to appear exclusively on Wanli Kraak wares. This mark always appears on better than average pieces, with well defined moulded designs and carefull painting. The cobalt is consistently deep blue with silvery shades . These characteristics, along with the rarity of wares bearing the 'egret' mark, indicate that this group of porcelain was made only in one particular kiln.
