清 宮廷紫檀嵌百寶雙龍紋'乙'字款磬形盒 Qing Dynasty Qianlong period. Modelled in the form of Qing, an ancient Chinese ritual chime, in form of stacked books, the top cover finely inlaid in various materials, including mother-of-pearl, tortoise shell to depict a pair of stylized kui dragons flanking a pearl ball (missing inlay), the base carved with a single character ' Yi'. 來源: 紐約私人藏家收藏。此盒整體呈古代青銅器磬鐘式，主體材質為紫檀，用材考究。盒蓋表面用螺鈿，玳瑁，松石等名貴材料以百寶嵌工藝作一堆夔龍戲珠紋，圖案設計端莊典雅，頗有古意。“磬”為先秦時期打擊玉器，用石或玉製成，形狀像曲尺。磬亦通‘慶’，寓意吉慶有餘。盒底刻一‘乙’字款，應為乾隆時期宮廷作坊對器物等級評定的標註，分為‘甲，乙，丙，丁’等，甲為最高級。此件紫檀盖盒用材考究，包漿古润，置於案頭，賞心悅目，不可多得。
