It was the all-in-one computer (2002) symbol of Steve Jobs' success with the 'Pixar'. In 1986 was born this famous animation house, born from the computer graphics section of Lucasfilm, for which George Lucas ('Star Wars') was looking for investors. Steve Jobs, who was in relationship with the director because of the new computer company he founded (the 'Next'), decided to finance it with a fund of 5 million dollars, and to acquire it renamed 'Pixar'. Among the first short films was 'Luxo jr'. presented in 1987 at SIGGRAPH (annual conference on computer graphics), which received an Oscar nomination: an extraordinary animation for the time, whose protagonists (two animated 'lamps' became the very symbol of Pixar, which still uses today in the opening credits of all the feature films presented at CInema. Pixar had its first extraordinary commercial success with the celebrated 'Toy Story', and was later bought by Disney (in 2006) for the stratropheric sum of 7.4 billion dollars.
