Halisauro was a primitive representative of the group of mosasauri, large aquatic reptiles coeval to the dinosaurs, who lived in the upper Cretaceous. It hunted its prey in the coastal areas of the great sea which gave rise to the phosphate deposits where these fossils are found today. Metal base, 37x14x14 cm
