French Napoleon III Brass and Porcelain Figural Mantle Clock. D-Shaped form, modeled with figure of a woman emblematic of Trade and Plenty, seated on a cylindrical clock by a ship's prow and an overflowing cornucopia spilling coins near an anchor. The lower base inset with SÈvres-style turquoise-ground porcelain plaques painted with floral wreaths and garlands. Porcelain clock-face with black Roman numerals. '4505' to the movement reverse, 'S.G.D.G. Durand' also to the movment reverse. Illegible markings to case reverse. Rolletz FrÈres, Blvd. St. Denis, Paris.
