Late 18th Century Staffordshire Pearlware Platter.Transfer-printed in cobalt blue with "Reindeer and Seal” pattern by John Harrison. The center with a landscape scene scattered with various buildings, animals, and figures. 'HI' impressed to the underside. {Approximate dimensions: 1 3/8 high x 16 1/2 wide x 12 inches deep.}. Condition: Wear to the underside, light surface scratches, a few manufacturing blemishes.Notes: Harrison’s factory was active 1781-1816. The pattern as seen in this platter dates to the years 1781-1800. The Transferware Collector’s Club includes this as pattern #45 in its database.
