4 Fine Chinese 19 Century Kesi Silk & Gold wrapped thread Tapestries beautifully finished to both sides with designs of Generals on Horseback, Court Officials, and Soldiers, small Figural scenes to the tops of the panels, the bases with small Pairs of Horses scenes (8 Horses) and borders of flowers on gold; now set as a folding screen in 4 double sided ivory colored hard wood frames with glass to each side and 2-directional bronze hinges, the corners and mid-sections carved with scrolling Lotus flowers in high relief. Height of each silk 64 inches (162.5 cm.) X width of each silk 15 1/2 inches (39.5 cm.). Total height of screen 72 1/2 inches (184.3 cm.) X width of each framed panel 18 inches (46 cm.). Good condition to silks and screen frames, possibly slight fading to 19 Century vegetable dyes.
