GROUP OF OTTOMAN POLYCHROME-PAINTED INTERIOR DECORATIVE PANELS TURKEY, 19TH CENTURY comprising two calligraphic wood panels, the narrow panel inscribed in gold and carved in low relief with the sixth of the ninety-nine names of Allah in nasta’liq script, which reads: ‘the most-rich, the bestower of all good, the glorious, the all-knowledgeable, the just and the confident’, the other panel of rectangular form inscribed, against a ground of floral tendrils; and two under-glass painted prayer panels, each with a large oval medallion containing an inscription, decorated below with three arched friezes, each containing stylised rosewater sprinklers (Dimensions: largest wood panel: 73cm long; largest glass panel 69cm x 49.5cm) (Qty: 4) (largest wood panel: 73cm long; largest glass panel 69cm x 49.5cm) Condition report: Glass panels: colour ok.
