说明：玛瑙制，小口直颈，溜肩弧壁，壶体扁圆，底收圈足。壶腹一侧巧雕双鸽戏犬纹样，双鸽羽翼丰满，上下翻飞，灵动自然，一犬卧于其下，毛发松软，尾部上翘，懵懂可爱。据《陶雅》载：“成庙喜鸽，而贵嫔喜小狗。故当时瓷盌多画此二物。”因此白鸽与犬成为道光时期较为流行的纹样。整器选料考究、雕工细腻，俏色自然灵动，鸽犬嬉戏栩栩如生，别赋意趣。同类题材另有紫砂、玻璃、瓷器做；可参见2011年5月邦瀚斯《玛丽及庄智博鼻烟壶珍藏：第三部分》，编号85。
