A rare Chinese iron-red and underglaze-blue decorated dragon plate, the plate is finely painted on the exterior in blue tones with five-clawed dragons in mutual pursuit with a dragon in the interior medallion, all reserved on an iron-red ground of rolling and cresting waves and framed within double band borders. Underglazed blue Qing Yongzheng mark on base. 10 1/2" diameter.
