The jar is baluster form, finely painted in bright tone of underglaze-blue in the scholar visit friends with his Qin. With the Large Ruyi and floral pattern on the shoulder, and the neck with a further classic border, the base encircled by a band of fire-qilin and fire-horse over sea and mountain.
