A turn of the century import silver-gilt box, the oval form with raised borders or trailing bluebells to the lid and base, enclosing genre scenes depicting couples, with further floral and foliate scrollwork to sides and opening to a silver-gilt interior with 'Christmas 1902' engraved to reverse of lid. Hallmarked Elly Isaac Miller, London 1901 alongside the Foreign mark, further Hanau psuedo-marks to lid possibly for Neresheimer. Length 4 (10cm), weight 5.18 ozt (161 grams).
