A pair of Victorian silver figural table salts, each modelled in the form of a twin-tailed siren or mermaid holding aloft a nautilus shell and seated on a circular slightly domed base with stiff leaf border, with a pair of foliate detailed salt spoons having scallop-edge gilt bowls. Hallmarked Stephen Smith & William Nicholson, London 1852. Height of salts 5.25 (13.5cm), length of spoons 4.25 (11cm), gross weight 21.71 ozt (675.2 grams).
