Phoenix Head vase in Dingyao porcelain, China, Northern Song Dynasty(960-1127).
Ovoid body and long neck that ends in the shape of a phoenix head. Floral decoration in
incision under a transparent glass of ivory tone and tear drops .

A similar vase is found in the British Museum in London and is reproduced in The Chinese
Potter by Margaret Medley, p. 101.
