Chinese Archaistic Bronze Censer with Pierced Cover. The body is of rectangular form, each edge of the body with notched vertical flanges. The flat rim set with a pair of curved dragon loop handles. The dragon scroll design repeated on the underside surrounding a gilded cross bar. On the domed cover, decorated with pierced lotus flowers, surmounted by rounded dragon finial, all supported on four legs and decorated with Taotie masks. The bronze covered with rich patina. {Approximately 15 inches height}.
