Pair of Roland Paris, 'Wisdom and Poetry' Cold-Painted Bronze Figural Bookends Roland Paris (1894-1945). Modeled, cast and carved as jester with an owl perched on his knees, and a gentleman wearing a hat with a bird perched on his knees, both on black marble plinths. Signed 'Roland Paris' to bookend backs, lower right. Germany. Circa 1930. {Approximate dimensions: 7 high x 2 3/4 inches wide.}.
