大漆此套屏风为福州脱胎漆器的典型代表作品，极尽工艺之能事精造而成。框为实木制就，四周双层印锦。屏心施红漆，色泽沉稳，上嵌饰瓶、炉、几案、博古架等博古纹饰，所嵌之物，均为脱胎工艺所制，皆可拆下成一件独立的艺术品，极为难得。博古纹是中国传统装饰中一种典型的纹样，博古即古代器物，由《宣和博古图》一书得名。是各种工艺品上常用的装饰题材。本品以脱胎技法仿照宫廷嵌百宝工艺，将博古纹装饰于屏风之上，集多种工艺技法之大成，既突出图案之精美，又彰显华贵之气质，古朴庄重，不显俗气。
