LEMANIA - a military issue single button chronograph wrist watch. Stainless steel case, stamped with British Board Arrow. Numbered H.S 9 2663. Unsigned manual wind calibre 15 CHT. Silvered 'sterile' dial with Arabic numeral hour markers, subsidiary recorder dials to three and nine. Fitted to an unsigned black and grey nylon 'NATO' style strap with nickel plated pin buckle. 38mm.This watch was issued to Acting Sub-Lieutenant Charlie Bowley, who was a member of the Goldfish Club after crash landing. He went over the side of HMS Indomitable but was rescued by a following destroyer.
