袁昶（1846－1900），原名振蟾，字爽秋，一字重黎，号浙西村人，浙江桐庐人。光绪二年进士，历官户部主事、总理衙门章京，办理外交事务，后任江宁布政使，迁光禄寺卿，官至太常寺卿。光绪二十六年，直谏反对用义和团排外而被清廷处死，同时赴刑的还有许景澄、徐用仪等四人，史称“庚子五大臣”。《辛丑条约》签订后，清廷为其平反，谥“忠节”。袁昶也是同光体浙派诗人的代表。袁昶
