A RARE AND EARLY WEMYSS WARE TWIN-HANDLED VASE CIRCA 1890 decorated by Karel Nekola with flowering Peony Roses on a mottled ground with applied gilt handles, impressed maker's mark WEMYSS/ 67 37cm high Note: This vase was painted by Karel Nekola as a wedding present for the current vendor's great-grandmother, circa 1894. Her stepfather, Robinson (Ralph) Dixon, ran a china shop in Leith and apparently had connections with the Wemyss factory.
