A George III silk embroidered waistcoat: ivory silk ground with all over fern leaf designs and floral meander borders, the collar, edges and pockets worked in coloured silks of greens, blues, browns and pinks, with an inscribed name to the interior lining 'Marcus Beresford Esq'. * Provenance, believed to belong to Marcus Beresford (1764-97) son of Rt. Hon. John de la Poer Beresford and Anne Constantina de Ligondes, John being the son of Marcus Beresford, 1st Earl of Tyrone.
