盘为白玉质，玉质莹润，内外壁均减地浅浮雕西番莲纹，盘心浮雕菊花纹，周围小楷阴文刻乾隆御制诗壹首，文曰：“量材为器匪琼英，工致讶难意想成，喀吗匠能逞彼巧，专诸人或逊其精。相金钉宝抚无迹，簇叶攒花视有情。每忆旅獒篇着训，.吟还觉愧平生”。文后又书“乾隆乙未孟春御题”款，及“比德”、“朗润”二方玺文。经核查该诗咏于乾隆四十年（1775），收录于《御制诗四集》卷28页8至9。有诗注云：喀吗为回语，是以匠人为喀吗；而专诸人当解为苏城玉人多居专诸巷。由诗注可知，乾隆皇帝认为痕都斯坦的玉工的技术，是优于苏州专诸巷里的中国玉工，可见他对此类玉制品的喜爱程度。款识：乾隆御题
