塑像身形颀长，褒衣博带，肩荷锄篮，头微侧，略带笑意，执锄之手写实而飘逸，极为优美，拢于袖中的左手也通过衣褶的卷动细腻而生动地得以表现。
明代铜制神像，佛像居多，道家形象较为少见。尤其值得注意的是，本塑像人物头梳双髻，古称总角，是童子的身份特征，其面容亦不脱几分稚气。拍场所见明代道家人物，多是尊神、东方朔、高士之类，身形也有类似修长飘逸风格的，面容则罕有类似此像之柔和恬美的；所见童子，则嬉笑欢颜、活泼烂漫，亦不似此像之沉静内敛。此尊采芝仙童之特殊性，值得关注。
