矾红地留白技法始创于清雍正时期，其先在白釉上以矾红彩勾绘纹饰轮廓，在轮廓外满填红彩，形成红白相应的色彩构图，是清代独特的瓷艺品种，亦称盖雪红。
“嶰竹主人”是流行于道光瓷器上的一种堂名款，以书“嶰竹主人造”五字矾红篆书款为多见，究竟为何人名款尚待研究。带有此类款识的器皿均制作精细，器型以各式杯、碗、匙等日用小件器为多见。
